About Me
Hi! I'm Charlotte (prefer to go by Charley) Costantino, and I am a philosophy major at Oberlin. To get right to the point, I've had some very difficult moments at Oberlin, but I've learned to make the most of them. From handling 6-7 shifts with 26 credits to taking an overload of credits while working at Stevenson some semesters, I've managed to meet the most positive, bright, sensitive, and heartfelt people at Oberlin. These people have truly changed my life, and I mean that in the most honest sense. The coursework and classes I've taken have pushed my thinking skills to be more creative, open-looking, and abstract, where I would make connections and comparisons to fields unthinkable before I set foot at Oberlin. The most meaningful experiences I've had here have been my connections with conservatory students and extensive conversations with them at the dinner table, which has also pushed my thinking skills in more abstract directions. I've made the most of my time here, despite difficult patches in my life.
Study Abroad
No I did not.
Favorite Place
Azariah's/Mudd Library, because of the wide-open spaces that yield a sense of alleviation and also the tasty coffe and waffle/pancake ceilings.
Favorite Class
My favorite class I took was Marxian theory, because I learned about the false consciousness of the consumer.
Clubs & Organizations
Modern Music Guild
Notable Quote
"Still I Rise"- Maya Angelou, 1978
Memorable Oberlin Moment
Listening sessions in Studio 3 in the TIMARA basement :).
Graduation Date

Future Plans
Writing a book on Aesthetics in David Lynch's Twin Peaks. Also I want to start a blog on new music, and bringing awareness to new music venues.
