About Me
Although this isnt how I imagined the end of our senior year, Im incredibly grateful for the friends I met at Oberlin and the communities that welcomed me. Over my four years, I spent time writing and editing for The Oberlin Review, cooking and eating tasty meals at Pyle, exploring Oberlin on bike and foot, and spending time with friends. As an Economics major and Art History minor, I found balance in breaking apart complex systems and analyzing details both disciplines challenged me to delve deeper and question surface-level appearances. I look forward to next May when the Class of 2020 can reunite on campus. Maybe Ill finally spot an albino squirrel, a quintessential Obie rite-of-passage that I have yet to experience!
Study Abroad
I studied at the University of Amsterdam during the 2019 spring semester.
Campus Jobs
Peer Advisor at the Career Development Center
Student worker at the Allen Memorial Art Museum
Favorite Place
My favorite place on campus, hands down, is the Allen Memorial Art Museum. I worked at the museum for a few years and enjoyed getting to know the staff, artwork, and patrons that frequented there. The Allen offered solace from the sometimes-overwhelming vibrancy of campus life, and I loved visiting my favorite artworks whenever I needed to clear my head. Im particularly thankful for the security staff at the museum I wont soon forget the kindness and lively conversation they provided over my four years.
Favorite Class
American History to 1877, taught by Professor Bahar, was the first class I ever took at Oberlin. I attended the class as a prospective student and loved Professor Bahars lecture style as well as the course content it was one of the reasons I decided to apply to Oberlin! I also thoroughly enjoyed the two-module Oberlin Business Scholars course, which provided me with my first exposure to finance, and eventually, the confidence to pursue the Economics major.

Memorable Oberlin Moment
As sad and unexpected as it was, I think Ill always remember the ways in which the Oberlin community came together in the face of this springs sudden campus departure. Im proud of my classmates, who organized a mutual aid spreadsheet and developed a rideshare system to drive students to the polls for early voting. Im grateful for faculty, who did their best to accommodate students needs amidst a rapidly-evolving health crisis, and for my friends, who prove that proximity isnt a prerequisite for friendship. Most of all, Im proud to be a member of the Class of 2020 I fully believe that this situation, and the kindness we showed to each other during this trying time, will bond us in a profound and lasting way.
