About Me
At Oberlin, I have received a BM/BA in Violin Performance and Economics with a minor in French. I studied with Marilyn McDonald, whose presence and studio taught me the power of support, community, hard work, and a really good sassy comment. Oberlin gave me opportunities to explore many musical interests, from founding a string quartet to finding a love for Baroque, contemporary classical music, and improvised music. I have also been involved with folk music and dance throughout my five years here, organizing and playing for Oberlin's Contra Club and Dandelion Romp. Beyond musical activities, I was the student liaison for the Oberlin Student Quaker Group for four years. Believing in the power of community and food, I spent many good years in Keep, as FSC, New Member Trainer, and head cook, and found the space always felt like home to me no matter where I lived. I am grateful for the friends, colleagues, and professors who guided me, helped me find what was most meaningful to me, and have sent me off into the great unknown a little weary from late nights studying in the con library, but excited for what is next.
