About Me

Munire Mierxiati, an Uyghur violinist. Munire began violin studies at the age of 4. In 2009, Munire was accepted to the most competitive conservatory in China, Central Conservatory of Music Middle School. She was a member of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra during 2009-2016, collaborate with many worldwide musicians, such as Joshua Bell, LangLang. In 2016, Munire started to study in Oberlin Conservatory, with professor Milan Vitek. Throughout the academic years, Munire is honored with Oberlin Dean's Talent Award. Munire has served as the concertmaster of the Oberlin Orchestra and Miami Music Festival Orchestra in 2018. She won the First Prize of Elite International Competition and performed in the Honor Recital in Carnegie Hall in March 2018, New York. In 2020, she is selected to perform on the Danenberg Honors Recital. Munire also devoted herself to the teaching career. She worked as the counselor of the 2019 Oberlin Community School Stradivarius Music Festival.
