About Me

When I came to Oberlin, I knew I would grow musically and develop as a singer, but I couldn't have imagined how many unique and profound opportunities I would have outside my major. Working closely with my studio professor, Marlene Rosen, I've gone from studying the elementary 24 Italian Arias songbook to tackling hard Britten lullabies for my senior recital. Thanks to the encouragement of my professors, I explored my passion for arts management and gained skills that will help me interpersonally and professionally. I've built lasting friendships with my Musical Union family and grown to appreciate early Saturday mornings on the Conservatory Communications radio show, Making CONnections (alongside some pretty great co-hosts). Oberlin prides itself on the "Learning and Labor" motto and I feel like I've embodied it through my OSCA experience. Throughout my four years in OSCA, I've taken on different roles within the organization, from a Board Representative to the Chair of the Board for two years and then this year as President. In these roles, I've helped to manage a multi-million dollar budget, advocated for OSCA's value to the Oberlin Board of Trustees, negotiated contracts with Oberlin College, and learned how to make some good pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I'm thankful for all the memories and the pals I made along the way!

Oberlin Music Ensemble Manager

Favorite Place

the OSCA office! Always has good company, good snacks, and a good couch for naps between classes!

Favorite Class

Pop Music and Media with Kathryn Metz! It was the first unrequired/ "not-101" class I took in the conservatory and it pushed me to consider how different forms of popular music are impacted by media and the world around us. Kathryn Metz is a star and everyone should take a class with her before they leave!
