About Me
As a jazz voice major in the Con, I've had so many amazing opportunities to perform at Oberlin. Some of my favorites were outside of the Con, however, such as the bands I was able to form like FOGATA and OBO(OBBO) among others. Being at Oberlin has helped me mature and learn so much more about the world. I'm so happy to have met so many friends and grown with so many people I love.
Study Abroad
In the summer of 2018, I studied Peruvian folk music at La Escuela Nacional Superior de Folklore Jose Maria Arguedas in Lima, Peru.
Favorite Place
The rooftop on the Kohl building - it's the most important building and holds some of the most special memories from my time at Oberlin. The rooftop is a place where I could go to find peace, clarity, and comfort. It's a place I have been able to use to write songs, poems, and letters. A place to ponder, create, and cry - either alone or with people I love. It has such a beautiful view of other places I love in Oberlin, including my house. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
Favorite Class
Latina/o Comparative Perspectives with Professor Gina Perez. She is one of the most amazing professors I have ever taken a class with and she truly cares about both the material and students. Professor Perez really pushed me and helped me feel connected to the material and I was able to take the class with some of my best friends.
