About Me

Zoie Shuk Yi Tse was born in Hong Kong, and began her studies at the age of 6 with Ling Hui and Gabriel Kwok at the prestigious Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. After graduating in 2016, she came to the United States to study with Alvin Chow at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she has been awarded a Deans Scholarship Award. She has been the winner of a number of important prizes in national and international competitions. In addition to winning the First Prize at the 2019 Lima Symphony Young Artist Competition, Miss Tse was the 2? Prize Winner at the 2018 New York International Piano Competition (which also awarded her a debut NY recital), the First Prize Winner in the Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Mozart Piano Competition, and awarded top prizes at the 73? Steinway and Sons International Youth Piano Competition and the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. As guest soloist, she has appeared with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Oratorio Society, as well as in solo and chamber recitals throughout Asia and in the US. In 2020, Miss Tse was elected to membership in Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society, recognizing her dual accomplishment of excellent academic work and outstanding musicianship.
