Twas commencement 2019, the clouds were looming, yet the day hot on our skin. Bike derby day was upon us. A drop of blood dripped down from the cut on my forehead and my shoulders sticky from the warm milk I had brought to pour on friends and fo. I did not win any derby competition but when an alumni came up and said "thank you for upholding tradition", life felt good.
