About Me
I initially came to Oberlin because I wanted to double major in Psychology and Creative Writing, but was pulled in by the prospect of ExCos. The idea of earning college credit for playing video games and pursuing extracurricular hobbies sounded amazing. I always tried to have at least one ExCo every semester to maximize my time doing interesting things each semester. I ultimately dropped the Creative Writing major after not getting into the 201 class, but found that it was probably for the best so that I could more fully pursue Psychology. I found my home in the Sci-fi and Fantasy theme hall, which I joined after my bittersweet stay at Barrows first year housing. Sci-fi Fantasy Hall is where I found my best friends from Oberlin and it holds some of my best memories from Oberlin. Truthfully, the hall has some weird internal politics and interactions to navigate, but it served its purpose in introducing me to friends and relationships that I will hold dear for the foreseeable future. I want to combine my passion for nerdiness and the avenues presented by Psychology to craft a career that lets me enjoy the merits of both.
Study Abroad
I never studied abroad.
Campus Jobs
Research Assistant
Math Tutor for DuBois Fraction Club
Favorite Place
Tappan Square because it is the place where the most talking conversations happen. Walking on campus in fun, but walking into town and seeing everyone doing their thing is refreshing.
Favorite Class
Writing for College and Beyond with Hal Sundt. Hal is one of my favorite professors because he is so enthusiastic about every class and tries to help each student on an individual level. He always had us arrange office hours and helped me tailor my writing around exactly what I wanted to write about. Writing for this class was some of the most fun I've had writing ever.
