About Me
I've always loved school and schooly things; at Oberlin I learned how important all the other things are that we participate in. What a joy it is to show up for guest lectures and socials. How important rituals with friends are, like Slow Train trivia nights, gathering to sing madrigals, going to Midge and Smith's every Sunday night. How important it is to care for and participate in the administrative working of an institution like Oberlin that impacts our formative years. The value of extending the good things we learn inside the classroom into meaningful practice, like turning friendship studies concepts into music and facilitating philosophy discussions with second graders. I will never be able to thank all my professors and peers enough.

Favorite Place
The courtyard in the art complex. My first-year advisor's office is there and the first day I walked into it I felt that it was the most magical place on campus.
Favorite Class
I learned so much about pedagogy and good, creative humanity from Deborah Roose's Children and Society. She brought her guitar to class and myriad other tools for extra-good teaching that I still think about.
Clubs & Organizations
Film Co-op
Oberlin College Friendship Circle
Memorable Oberlin Moment
The Oberlin College Friendship Circle has been inviting alumnae to our meetings now that we are remote on Zoom. Reconnecting with old friends for good conversations that spill way over our hour of meeting time has been such a special reminder of all the best things about being an Obie. I'm sure over time other, earlier memories will stand out stronger, but this one has been feeling important as I think about what it means to leave here and go out into the world.
